Hot News Fresh From The Grill

OUR NEWEST BBQ PIT

Greetings from the Emergency BBQ Company. Well we know it has been a while since our last report, but that is because you are all keeping us so busy.

June was a great month for the EBC, we had some milestones achieved. Our Brewmaster/Pitboss Jeremy Sowers celebrated 10 years of brewing on the 1st, and 35 years old on the 29th. On top of all that as you can see in the pic, we have a new addition to the family. This is our newest pit to be put in service. The EBC purchased this pit a couple months ago, and we put ALOT of elbow grease and sweat to make this a real BBQ beauty. This new pit will help ensure we can cook for an additional 200 people per event, so if you have a big party coming up, or a corporate function, give us a call, and we can bring the new pit out to you.

Well if all that wasn't enough, there is more news. This June we went and did it-yes we made 800 lbs of our wonderful Scotch Ale Marbled Cheddar. This is the 1st 800 lbs of what will be a total of 2400 lbs that we will make. This cheese will take 6 months to complete, so in the meantime Jeremy is working with the Fiscalini Cheese Company to develop a name and some really great packaging. Check out www.fiscalinicheese.com to see all the wonderful offering that they have. We will keep posts here as to how you can order up some beer cheese for yourself.

That is all we have here on the grill, but keep checking in because you know there is allways something special cooking up at the Emergency BBQ Company.

Happy Grillin

Come Get Some Beer-B-Q!

Here is the latest news, served to you hot and fresh from the EBC grill.

Starting the 1st of June, we will be selling a few select items for happy hour at The Stinger Lounge in San Mateo. Beer-B-Q will be served from 5-9 PM on Wed, Thurs, Fri out on the back patio. If you have ever wondered to yourself just how good does this Beer-B-Q taste, well wonder no more. Come by Stinger, grab a cold beer or a wonderful cocktail, then pop out to the patio where you can enjoy what has been called by many as the best Tri-Tip they have ever tasted. We will be serving up our famous Tri-Tip and a host of other Beer-B-Q goodies.

In case you have never been to the Stinger Lounge, this would be a great time to stop by. This is one of the coolest lounges on the penninsula, with great cocktails and a very hip, smooth lounge feel, and a great patio out back. You can go to www.stingerlounge.com for the address and more info about them.
We will also be rolling out the wonderful Scotch Ale Marbled Cheddar sometime towards the end of June so check back here for updates. Also we are working on a new menu side for the summer-Fresh Roasted Corn and Tomato Salad with Basil tossed in a Balsamic Vinaigrette. You just have to love fresh summer corn and tomatoes and toss them with some fresh basil and a delightful balsamic vinaigrette, and you have a great summer salad perfect to showcase here at the Emergency BBQ Company.

Well that's all the grill has cookin right now, but keep checking back, we allways have something marinating.
The Sun Is Out, It's Time For Beer-B-Q!

Well the sun has finally come to town and it looks like it is shaping up to be a nice spring. If this is your first time here, welcome, if not welcome back!

I would like to say that the beer cheese came out wonderful and I will be going back for a tasting this weekend, and it should be even better. This cheese will be ready for the public sometime in July/Aug so keep checking here for updates. We have more new products in the works, one in particular I think will be a hit with spicy food lovers: our Smoked Habenero hot pepper powder and hot sauce.

A little about this oh so wonderful smokey, spicy treat. We take fresh, ripe golden habenero peppers, and slowly smoke and dry them with our special blend of hardwoods. Then we either grind them up to make our wonderful smokey pepper powder, or we take the whole smoked peppers, combine them with a special blend of vinegar and salt, and age this mix for 1 month. The peppers are then strained and out comes the most tasty, smokey, spicy hot sauce you will ever try. This is nothing like Tabasco Chipotle sauce, it is smoother richer and with a wonderful unique flavor all its own.

These wonderful produts, along with our custom Beer-B-Q sauce, grill sauce, and rubs will be available here online shortly so keep checking back. We will be adding some pics here very soon as well as an online calendar, so you can type in the date you wish to have an event and see if we are available.

Also on the Beer-B-Q forefront, we will be serving our famous Bee-B-Q at the Stinger Lounge in San Mateo for happy hour, starting 6/1 on Wed, Thurs, and Fri evenings from 5-8 PM, so make sure you stop by for a taste and a drink. It will be well worth your time, I promise.

Until next time, go sunshine, go Sharks, and support your local brewery!
Cheers, Team EBC

Team EBC

The EBC Team
I am sure there are plenty of people out there who would like to know who is behind California's finest Beer-B-Q. Well I hope you will find this info both informative and fun.

The Emergency BBQ Company was started in 2003 with the idea of bring together fresh beer and bbq. All of our recipes have been devloped over many years, many beers, and many a bbq. Jeremy Sowers is the force behind California Beer-B-Q, and the Emergency BBQ Company. Jeremy has been a profesional brewmaster for 10 years, and cooking for even longer than that. After many years of keeping his secret for beer-b-q to friends and family he decided it was time to let the public in on this most tasty of a treat.

Armed with a 14 foot box van complete with kitchen, and a trailer bbq pit, he has set out to bring beer-b-q to as many people as he can. All of the food undergoes "beer enhancing" as we say-this is incorporating beer and its components into the meats and side dishes, not just pouring a can of beer on it and calling it good, no not us.All of the beer used in the process is crafted locally, and by Jeremy so you know it's fresh. With his extnsive knowledge of brewing, and many years of cooking, Jeremy has created some of the best bbq you will ever taste. We are allways striving for a flavor balance in our food, delivering to you the freshest tastiest bbq around.

Now that you know a little about the food and the people behind it lets talk about an event- We will show up to your site a few hours early to set our pit and get cooking. It takes a few hours to get the flavor just right on the fire. In the meantime we set up our serving station and make sure everything looks wonderful, possibly tap the keg you have for your event, and get everything ready for the guests. The nice thing about the van is we do all our setup and prep in there so we dont have to get your place dirty, or or worry about the elements. Once you and your guests get your fill of food, we pack up the leftovers for you (if there is any!), clean up our area and leave you with that wonderful feeling of having eatin great bbq. That's a quick rundown on a typical party, great bbq and great fun.

We do hope you will call us for your next event, and if you want a sample, please feel free to call or email. We are allways cooking so samples are not a problem. Thank you for your support.
